I am intrigued by the slides to this talk, although unfortunately I can't listen to it yet because I'm in an internet cafe. I am especially delighted by the slides labelled "Ghandi State diagram".
In other news, I will probably be staying at the ISEC postgraduate hostel for the next few days, to interview a few people and get access to some books there. It makes more sense than trying to negotiate around two hours of buses each day. Not sure what I'll be doing after that, probably coming back to Jayanagar or something.
I am also quite unimpressed at more university bureaucratic inefficiency. I am glad that money is really not a problem at the moment, otherwise I would be tremendously irritated right now. (On that note, I suspect someone in my family may have put some money in my bank account. If you did, thank you, but please don't put any more in - India is ridiculously cheap.)
Apart from sorting that out, today I'm also going to try to work out how to post some books back to Australia (since I have an absurd amount around the place), try to get together a more detailed research plan for the next few weeks, try to release the last of my bookcrossing books, and go to a talk on young people's involvement in social movements by Medha Patkar from the anti-dams movement.
Hmm. Yesterday I resolved to start putting more interesting posts up. Maybe, like most resolutions, this one will start tomorrow?
