Started marking the essays last night. Only got through two, but just glancing through them I'm already impressed by the amount of weirdness that they've contributed, including:
* a student who decided my last night is "magel" (or maybe "magec"),
* a student who stapled their essay on the top left-hand side, but then attached the cover sheet upside-down, stapling the bottom right-hand side and making it impossible to open the damn thing,
* a heap of students have taken on the "don't do this question unless you're crazy" question, which only one or two students did last year.
I look forward to actually starting to read these, and seeing what new wonders arise.

Last night I abandoned my plans to be productive and mark essays, take notes on Rhyming hope and history (I wish I could just renew interlibrary loans), write some long-overdue letters, &tc. Liz and I cooked some dinner in our kitchen-that-now-has-stuff-in, and we all drank some wine and watched Jay and Silent Bob while I did some crocheting. Not a bad evening, as these things go.

(Although Jarrad and Lisa were ignoring us, because they're rude.)

Up at a bit past six this morning, cycled in again. It took around thirty minutes, which gave me plenty of time to wander around the building trying to find a shower. I failed in the end, and went to the sports centre, but detective work (alright, "asking someone") has now helped me locate the secret showers hidden in an alcove in a corner of the first floor.

The End.

Hey sorry for not replying to txt messages, my phone has completely died. It won't even charge anymore. So yes... um... I guess I'll e-mail you my new home number?

And you should've asked me about the secret shower!

And you should've asked me about the secret shower!

Best pick up line, ever?

One day soon, we hope to have a new home number. Maybe there will be partying? All night home number party?

Haha, the neighbours might complain, but who cares, because they are squares.

We could call each other alternately for hours at 25 cents a call until it got too expensive and we had to stop! Lady, that's my idea of a fun party!

Yes.

Also, why the hell would you have known about the shower in the social sciences building? WHY? ARE YOU SOME KIND OF SUPERHERO?

I've handed in essays with pages upside down, though never stapled to make it physically unreadable - maybe I should have. And my excellent essay on Pride and Prejudice was handed in with a page missing.
