just looked up more stuff on buju banton and shabba ranks, since they were singing a song i was listening to. came to the unavoidable decision that they were just too nastily homophobic to be on my listening-list...not that i'd know, since the song was in rather fast patois and i couldn't understand any of it. still. deleted.

i want to find some feminist (or otherwise nifty) dub/dancehall. i suspect i shall have no luck.

yeah, I tried it a while ago. I found some stuff by Dawn Penn, which was okay, and there was another woman (who's name I've forgotten) who I meant to check out too, but didn't get around to.
