why would i be bothered?

my main question of the month.

what, really, is the point?

of livejournal, for instance? why? noone in particular would want to read it. it brings me no particular satisfaction. and yet i haven't deleted my account. thinking.

this sort of thinking extends to many areas.

why try to develop any sort of knowledge about wine? (was the first one)
why be friends with people you may not particularly like. don't dislike them, but what's the point?
why australia day/new year's/21st?
