crisis: averted!

well, since tuesday night i have been fretting a little about where to live once my lease expires, since i won't be in town long enough (fingers crosses) to justify getting a new lease.

and then, serendipity struck!

yesterday afternoon i was at the city library, and bumped into nick (another of mr wolf's fc friends - i am stealing them all)! and then just as nick and i were going for coffee, we met chloe! so we all went out for sushi, and it was delicious, and chloe said that she is moving out soon with a few friends and they'll need someone to stay with them for a few months. hooray!

and then chloe had to go, but nick and i went to the moon with mr wolf, and i got to play some scrabble. i love scrabble! and then, for double-plus excitement, nick mentioned that although he loves drawing comics he often has trouble writing for them. so i sat down and quickly wrote out a short story, and he drew up a page of sketches for it right there. and after mr wolf went to play snooker nick and i stayed and i wrote two more chapters/linked stories, and he did sketches for one and will show me sketches for the other one next week.

wheeee!


also: ok. so when and where are we going to play our new game? next week sometime? (although i'm not sure i can bear the wait!) i am happy to provide my flat again if necessary. Times and spaces! We must have times and spaces!

I am supposed to be writing up a partial grammar for skool this weekend, but I'd much rather have fun. I have a couple of 21st on Friday for which I have to make a token appearance, but if you guys are Out Having Fun in the Northbridge area, I could meet up with you after my token appearances. Else, I would have to bow out of this round of shenanigans, and just hear about your adventures later. Perhaps you could write haikus about it? :)
