recommend movies for my mother to watch! they must be cheering!

tonight i talked with my mother on my phone, and enjoyed it a lot.

i'm enjoying conversations right now. (an odd thing to say?) last night i went out for dinner with a few of the capoeira kids, and talked about books a bit. it's been a long, long, time, since i've had a conversation like that, and it felt pretty damn good.

i'm getting to be a bit more comfortable around some of the others at capoeira, but capoeira itself is getting me down a little. last night and this morning i was painfully aware of how badly i'm playing at the moment - my body feels most uncooperative. it doesn't help that gringo has taken to playing dvds of our rodas before and after class, where i can see my ragdoll-self plodding around the circle.

*sigh*

on the plus side, i played d. today - she's really good, my capoeira role model, and gringo was pushing her so she didn't take it easy on me. it woke me up a bit, continually trying to block kicks to the head and trying to step back before my feet got pulled out from under me.

i may, or may not, go to an acrobatics class tomorrow. i should go.

tonight - i am very much in the mood for out, and people. but don't feel like doing anything too distressing. so maybe just coffee? or maybe not.

this people problem is one that i should address soon.

baby slept through (v. boring baby, unlike other babies previously known to self). eats and sleeps, and getting very round. it was a good evening, though - wine was good and so was the conversation. so did you study with k yesterday? and (ahem - clearing throat), nothing wrong with action/sci-fi movies... well, ok, maybe they *slightly* lack in refinement:-)
