yesterday was my day for being sad
Jun. 15th, 2005 10:07 amand i was sadder than i thought i'd be, because it's not so clever to be sad when you have to do without someone you love only temporarily, and you can look forward to seeing them again, and just enjoy wanting something that you know you *can* have, after a while.
i moped a bit.
but then i walked home, and it was a pleasant thing to do. and i stopped off at tran's emporium to get some noodles (i was craving them like anything), and i was still sad. but then i looked at their enormous goldfish, and for some reason that really cheered me up.
yes. those goldfish were big.
and i ate noodles and although i was still sad at night, today i am better. i have decided. because it's all going to be ok, and there are lots of things to do and lots of things to fix. and today is the day i start doing and fixing.
also: does anyone know any good books that give an overview of the land rights/indigenous movement in australia today? the library has a heap more information on indian social movements than on the indigenous movement here.
and, finally. you know when you say things, and they sound perfectly plausible at the time, and then you think about it later and realise you're a fool. because your best friend looks after you all the time and it's lovely.
now! on to the day! blood givy and such. and bookends! and a net! all kinds of things and missions.
