rubbing my face on wood

rhylltoday internet gangster boy (new friend that i met on okcupid) and i went into fremantle for lunch. the dufkyen was docked there, so we went onto it and explored for a while - i think i was far more excited about it than he was.
but oh! so much wood. i had to touch everything. and when noone was looking i pressed my face up against the smooth wood on the mast. and the resin they use to tar the ship is pine resin, so it all smelt so good.and it's all built sky-sized...low ceilings and small spaces that i want to curl up in.
anyway.
that was my exciting thing today.
it made consciousness so delicious.
and now it's morning again and i want someone to talk to and touch, but instead i'm working on my thesis and telling dear diary about my day. and sometimes i think it's better this way.
there's a certain pleasure to be found in hours of the night all to myself.
