i found a thingummy that generates haikus from your livejournal. it made this:

went to the thing with
postits and stickers and then
we had a birthday

my excitement about the world is conspicously absent. how disappointing. i think it's because i haven't worked hard enough for the last few days. i have a lot to do, and not much time to do it. i need to wake my mind up, too! i need to be thinking about interesting things, and challenging myself.

i worry a little lately that i've got far too lazy intellectually. just bumbling along, letting things in but not putting stuff out. (sometimes i think that part of the reason for my extreme joy in capoeira is that it also provides a mental challenge, when all is going well.)

these musings cheer me up. once i've spotted a problem, i can start trying to fix it.
