i feel happy
Jul. 1st, 2005 11:44 amfirst, here is my crazy: (yay for pop psychology!)
and now:
whoot! festival junina last night was great, mostly because miss n and rato (gato? hato?) were there. so nice to see both of them again!
as soon as rato turned up i went from feeling utterly stressed and unenthusiatic about the evening, to actually wanting to be there, enjoying myself, and looking forward to things.
and music! and drinking (thank you, kind sponsor of my evening), and most of all dancing!
because it's been so long since i've danced with miss n, and i forgot how excellent it was. not worrying about anyone else, not even bothering to look at anyone else, clearing a space on the dance floor with our elbows, doing all the moves that we do when we dance, music style be damned.
oh! i've missed her so much!
hehe. and some things don't change - when we used to hang around together before, people used to continually ask (at parties, when they meet us, on the street) if we were sisters, or twins. which is odd - i mean, if you see a couple of twins walking down the street, do you feel the need to go up to them and say "hey! are you guys twins!" no. clearly you do not. but others do! all the time! and last night, gringo came up to say hello, and the first thing he asked was whether miss n was my sister. both of us were full of delight-giggles.
did i mention, how much i have missed her? it's a lot.
and also: playing capoeira with rato in a less-crowded area, the bouncer came up looking stern and i bounced around and told him that it was brazilian, and traditional, and he just said "oh! ok! keep going then!" and grinned, so we did.
whee! i am still full of delight, leftover from last night. FULL!
