something old, something new

rhyllsomething new:
first day as a postgrad today. office, workmates (i guess), even a small amount of work. exciting and scary. pluses: nice guy sharing my office, very friendly and also collects words. settled in with space and photocopy pins and such. met a few of the other postgrads, who were all pleasant to be around. got to ramble incoherently about haikus for a while. minuses: no concentration span. constantly exhausted. no idea where i'm going with my thesis.
also, i worked out that when i'm nervous around people, i actually feel drunk. can't focus my thoughts or words, and my vision goes funny. ergh.

in the process of finding pretty-thing-for-office-walls i also found the folder of letters that AM gave me. i read a few of them. still hurts. i don't think you ever really stop loving someone, once you start. or at least, i don't. which probably seems ridiculous and contradictory of me, given my relationship history.
just another thing to add to my pile of things screwing with my head right now.
still. overall, remaining somewhat relaxed and stable.
