just looked up more stuff on buju banton and shabba ranks, since they were singing a song i was listening to. came to the unavoidable decision that they were just too nastily homophobic to be on my listening-list...not that i'd know, since the song was in rather fast patois and i couldn't understand any of it. still. deleted.

i want to find some feminist (or otherwise nifty) dub/dancehall. i suspect i shall have no luck.

today

* proofread a few pages for project gutenberg
* spend ages walking around, in aid of looking at houses,
* got left waiting by a real estate agent who didn't turn up,
* had a really painful tutorial,
* got offered a job editing stuff,
* got to see my young man, briefly,
* missed the talk on "social justice in islam" that i wanted to go to.
