Oct. 19th, 2005 01:22 pmexciting developments:
* ethics approval is passed! hooray!
* supervisor + head of department seem to see no problem with me leaving mid-December, or at least none that they are comfortable voicing (i can be assertive!)
* i have a heap of forms to fill in to apply for funding
* marking is flying by (this round are all under 1,000 words and only worth 10%)
* i have been full of discipline - uni 8 'til 4, break to eat and read about chaos or do capoeira, more uni work until 11:30 or so. i may even catch up on all the work i am meant to have done!
* real estate agent just called - i have my place until 16th december, and my rent won't be going up after all.
disquieting developments:
i bumped into my supervisor in the corridor. he looked ruffled and unshaven. if not like he'd been dragged through a hedge backwards, at least like he'd perhaps had some angry words with a hedge recently. he smelt like cigarettes and when i said that i hadn't realised he smoked he said, "well! in times like these..." and then rushed off, saying over his shoulder that "everything will be explained when the right time comes".
hmm.
i am not sure if it is a good thing that, as mr wolf pointed out, my supervisor is more crazy than me.
