I can't remember if I told you guys, but:
* I spent my last evening in South Africa playing hide and seek, until D. and I figured out that we were both really bad at not bursting out into laughter as soon as the other person walked into the room. Then we started making a comic together. Did I mention that family can be pretty awesome?
* Yesterday I wandered into Raised by Wolves at the art gallery. A couple of the pieces I was rather taken with, but mostly what's stuck with me is that the security guard working there talked to me. Subversion of the norms of institutionalised space! Also, I made faces at a baby and it laughed, which was nice.
* Riding home tonight I went past Russell Square, and there was some kind of festival on. Flags with a yellow background and red stripes?
* I swapped desks at uni. Not rooms, just desks. It seemed like a good way of adding excitement to my life. Plus now I'm near the window, and have more shelves. I celebrated by covered the shelves in piles of Stuff, and buying a potplant to put out on the windowsill.
* Today I joined the university computer club. For some reason, I can shake the association with punch cards and room-sized computers. They don't have either, as far as I'm aware, but they do have a vending machine that's online.

I think that's enough for now, don't you?

I saw Raised by Wolves and liked some but not all. I like the art gallery security guards but am too embarrassed to make eye contact with them since an incident last year when mum was late for our rendez vous at the gallery and I asked them if they'd seen her.

Could the Russell Square thing have been a belated Chinese New Year celebration?

I joined UCC in my first year at uni and did nothing with my membership. I hope you're more active than I was :)

Class on Monday? It's up to week 3 of the beginners, so swing outs! If you did lindy 2 at 7 and then stayed for the beginners you'd probably not have to pay. Then they have social dancing from 9 to midnight which is great fun.

I'll see how I feel, come monday - it's at subi, right? Still haven't really sat down and looked at the schedules.

Yes, it's at Subi. Level 2 starts at 7, beginners at 8 and social dancing at 9. Teachers are Shane and Ruth - they're a very good combination.

Oh, and "in Subi" is a bit non-specific - it's the Scout Hall, which is up the top of Rokeby Road, near the funeral parlour.
