I actually haven't seen any of the films Buscemi has directed. I saw some of Animal Factory on TV, but didn't watch it all. I've always wanted to see his first film, Trees Lounge but haven't. And his latest, Lonesome Jim has come out on video, but again haven't seen it. All I know is he directed one of my all time favourite Sopranos episodes where two of the supporting characters get lost in the woods tracking a hit he turned out to be ex-KGB. I would like to see more of his films - he seems very into making John Cassavettes type independent movies.
How do you mean defend Miss Nina Simone? From the Antony comparisons or as legitimate music? Because I don't know much of her work, but the stuff I do know (like 'I've got it bad and that ain't good') is sublime.
