lately i have been wanting to write, and yet not writing. it is quite silly of me.

Anyway.

Yesterday I saw nina and my father also, and had tea with both. There was an overlap, and I enjoyed sitting in the backyard in the sunlight with tea, my father, nina, and kale-in-stripy pajamas.

My father had some ideas for making the spare room a nicer place, which I am glad of. I may have to bother our real estate agents some, which I am quite prepared to do. They have not managed our house well, and it is silly of them.

In other news:
* I got photos back today. I am trying to remember that what I would like is photos of my special ones and dear places. There are some nice photos of Jarrad, Liz, protests, our back garden, and the destruction of the chemistry building. I have been thinking of following mathematician-friend-Tim's lead, and getting a scanner to scan on photos. Although it does seem more wasteful than just using a digital camera in the first place. But I love the process of normal cameras and film, and having to wait to see how photos turn out, and having photos to mail or to keep. Also, I am very keen to try out the papercraft cameras, and I am almost entirely sure that they do not come in digital form. Dilemma, therefore. I am open to suggestions!
* I got a phonecall from Raj this morning, which was quite lovely. At some stage (probably in a fortnight when I am not exceeding my budget as much as I am this time) I would like to get a couple of calling cards and sit in a corner somewhere and talk to him for a long while.
* I have not been productive, these last days. But I am getting there, in a plodding kind of way.
* I like bands who put their music online. It is pleasant of them, I feel.

I think that scanners are great and have a breadth of uses that justify purchase.

I think you may have a vested interest, though :)

I have nothing against argyle sweaters. It would go fantastically with my cigars and child skin pool table.

P.S. my pool cue is made from ivory.

P.P.S Evil muhahahaha

Replying to your last post because I don't have your email address (to the best of my knowledge)

I met a guy at a PSA thing tonight who is doing a PhD (in the cultural studies department) on post-modern politics and social movements and things that I (regrettably) only have the vaguest knowledge of. I mentioned that I have a friend doing similar things, and he'd really love to talk to you. Please email me at iambondy at gmail dot com so I can pass along his contact details.
