rhyllToday I became a member of the Project for Third Sector Development's library, so I got to do some work.
I scared a little boy called Vishnu, by being a stranger ('most everyone here has a god/godesses name).
I remembered that I hadn't yet told you that:
* When I asked Bhoomita what she wants to do when she grows up, she told me that if it was possible, she would like to be a freedom fighter (like the ones during the struggle for independence). Since that isn't possible anymore, she wants to do some sort of social work for the nation.
* I spend a lot of time explaining to people here that I am not christian, actually, and don't have any gods to pray to. (Sometimes I try to explain about the wind and the stars and quantum mechanics.)
* When I stayed at Raj's house, I slept in the same bed as Jyothi and Ketin (sp?) and Raj slept in the spare room. Suresh said that in Marwadi families that's how it usually works with female visitors, because it seems rude to make them sleep all alone. I am touched.
* More on eve-teasing.
