Oh. my. lordy.
i have to say, julian is an incredibly patient and lovely young man. despite the several hours over the last couple of days that i've spent crying, refusing to talk to him, and implying that some unnamed 'everything' is all his fault, he remains lovely. all the tending in the world for me. plus, he woke me up with tea.
also, my grandparents are great. spent large portions of my day yesterday at my extended family's house, being fed and generally loved.
hehe. sitting around my grandparents room, talking about inappropriate things with them. sharing pick-up lines. (from my papou: when a girl's sitting next to you at a milkbar, you wait for her to get up and leave and then call out, 'hey! you forgot something', and when she comes back, say, 'me!' and he looked about 20 when he said it.) also, when my mother called and was talking to papou on the phone i yelled 'don't listen to him! he's gay! he wants to go out with sean connery!' and my giagia told me to yell louder. and they keep joking (i think) about buying ecstasy from me.
last thing: went op-shopping with ali and nina today, main purpose being to buy ali a bike.
i bought:
curtains (2 x $6, very necessary),
a red and white summer dress ($6, very practical),
an old typwriter in a blue case ($4, quite unnecessary and impractical), and
a carved, wooden, very novel cigarette box ($10, present for j).
We did a fair amount of trekking around the northern suburbs op-shops before we finally found one that had bikes, but that one had a lovely old-fashioned bike that still has working gears and brakes and is the right size. we also stopped off and bought new tyres and an inner tube, which i'm going to go fit soon.
i'm so excited!
fuck PMS, there are bikes to play with!
