a while ago i read about this crazy academic who thought that humans natural circadian cycle was around 26 hours long. so he just started running on 26-hour time, the rest of the world be damned.

the idea kind of appeals at times like this. i really need to sleep less. there are just too many things that i want to do. how am i meant to fit in:
* all the research i need to catch up on, and
* learning greek, and
* finding a new house (snap decision, made on friday), and
* spending time with all the people who i like, and
* making necessary new friends, and
* origami, and
* yoga, and
* bellydance and drum classes, and
* writing this damn speech for tuesday, and
* reading all the political theory i need to, and
* capoeira (which now takes about 3 hours, with cycling there and back), and
* promised knitting projects, and
* doing extra reading on islamic feminisms for this guy i'm helping out, and
* finally writing some fiction, and
* keeping my journal up to date, and
* replying necessary emails, and
and and and

i just really don't want all the slightly more optional stuff (bellydance, drumming, writing, friends, origami, political theory, knitting, etc) to fall by the wayside. it's all stuff that i enjoy, and that i feel is important to me (in an odd kind of way).

i'm still convinced that there is time to do it all. now would be a good time to start.
