I haven't written in ever so long

Brisbane was fun! Both conferences went well, although I enjoyed the second one more because I felt a little more energetic by then and more capable of making friends. I'm very pleased with how my presentation went, and the response I got.

I still feel like I'm trying to find my feet, back in Perth. I haven't caught up with nearly as many people as I would have liked to, in part because mostly I feel like curling up at home and nesting. I'm starting to feel better about my thesis, but I have a long way to go still before it's on track for finishing.
