Some parts of my day were not so good:
* I had a pretty awful morning. I could go on about it, but I find that kind of thing is best left for my on-paper journal, where I can read it in later years and feel terribly embarrassed about my melodramatic expression.
* I discovered that I cannot cycle with one leg only. Normally, I would just chalk this down as another point in the "no" column for my ongoing attempt to decide whether I should run away and join the circus. Unfortunately, this time I was trying it because my ankle seems to be sending me fairly determined messages about its unwillingness to participate in the business of moving me about the place.
* Last Greek class until September! I feel bereft.
* I didn't write my 500 words.
I think there was another, but I suppose if I've forgotten it's for the best.

Some part of my day were excellent, in small and large ways:
* Lots of smiles from my Greek teacher, and I did my homework and only made one mistake. It's amazing how proud and happy this makes me.
* Lunch with the Politics Women, hurrah! Often I come away from time with People, especially Groups of People, feeling drained. When I leave Politics Women, I usually feel bouyed.
* A phonecall from a friend that turned into a rambling discussion about humanism, post-humanism, and what makes us 'human'.
* When I went into the city after Greek class the old guy who plays the violin was there. He always seems to be there after everyone goes home, so I suppose he just wants somewhere to play. I took a photo of him and then sat in the abandoned mall and listened to him for a while. I miss the days when I used to do that kind of thing more, just wander around town or Fremantle or wherever looking for interesting things to watch or listen to.
* I got to cycle home in pleasant weather, without being rained on. I love cycling at night. Plus I found a new path for getting home from the city, which made me feel like a bold explorer. And a car full of Young People, driven by a P-plater, stopped to let me cross the road, and I thought, "oh, some young people are lovely."
* The events of this morning, in a very indirect way, mean that I now have considerably more money at my disposal than I initially thought. It's kind of nifty to unexpectedly have far more freedom than I thought I would, even if it's more hypothetical than current ("I don't have to save a heap of money" instead of "I can sleep on piles of gold"). There are a few Wants that I've been putting off for quite a while that I may get to indulge.
* I read a paper about online learning communities that my mother wrote. It was good, and I was terribly proud.
* I am being better at being vegetarian than I have been for a while.
There's more, I think, but I guess that's enough to make me smile.
