I *love* my family
I am all bursting with pride at my grandfather. My brother and I were helping him last night to scan in photos and paste them into a word document with captions to email to a friend. Perhaps a bit of a hassle to do even if you're used to computers, but given that Papou doesn't have some of the 'basics' that long-time computer users will be familiar with (left-click versus right-click, how to navigate easily between windows), it was incredibly impressive.
And of the course the photos...beautiful photos of Egypt, of my grandparents when they were younger... sometimes my emotions are so...something... that I don't know what to do with them or how to describe them.
Then there's my grandmother, who fusses around and feeds me and tells me off, and knows things about me that nobody else does. Sometimes I'm not sure if there's anything about me she doesn't know.
And my father, who does things like leave doors (well, just one) in my backyard and get very ethusiastic about teak.
And my mother, and my aunt, and my uncle, brother and cousin, all of who amazed me and looked after me and made me smile this weekend, which was otherwise a-not-much-fun weekend after a not-much-fun week.
