I worked well, and stayed at uni 'til six, and kale took me to the library (glee!), and i cooked a healthy dinner (?) and wrote a short story and did some knitting.

I like this me much better, you know.

But then, I seem to like myself in inverse proportion to how much time I spend with people. It seems an odd and inconvenient thing.

And today I came this close to convincing people that this year's social and cultural studies conference should be called "Here be Dragons". Ah well.

Today working out well enough, with some tutoring and some talking and some working.

Also, I'm kind of rearranging my research at the moment. I think my new provisional title should be "A Whole Mish-Mash of Stuff I Think Is Cool." (But I shan't tell my supervisor that, because that would be a Very Bad Idea, clearly.)

I think "A Whole Mish-Mash of Stuff I Think Is Cool" has a certain ring to it :)

What are you knitting?

At the moment, just a scarf for my 5 yr old cousin Byron (he was quite desperate for one on the weekend, and I had my knitting with me so I volunteered).

I'd love to have a stab at this (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall04/PATThallowig.html) later, though.

haha, so close! I don't think you were alone in lamenting it. A few other people had that dragon-shaped gleam in their eyes. I actually didn't really know the phrase myself before that day - that tells you how often I look at maps!
