Oi, Sky,

I just read your entry on graphic novels, and there's a few good ones at Perth City library (ya know, the one at Town Hall?)

One in particular... it's a pretty amateurish one (well, the drawing gets better), and it's called 'Hothead Paisan (Homicidal Lesbian Terrorist)', by someone called Diane DiMassa.

It's all about this lesbian living in New York City, who is driven insane by advertising and television, goes stir crazy and kills heaps of people... and in the meantime, talks to her cat and receives good advice from cooler-headed friends and lovers. It's pretty funny, and also pretty thought provoking (much as I hate describing any piece of written matter with the words 'thought provoking). I enjoyed reading it, and I think you would.

The book itself is basically heaps of seperate comics which lead on from each other, and it's generally on the white wire rack in the Children's section (right near the bean bags!)

There's a link with a few sample pages and stuff below: http://www.marystreet.com/HH/

Enjoy!
