Marshmellow peep fight, ukelele

So, I can't remember who I watched 'Marshmellow peep fight' with, agesandagesago, but I suspect that it was not any of you, dear readers. Anyway, if you've seen it, you might understand why this tickles me:

Also, in response to Liz's injunctions to ukelele pride: I am learning the ukelele. I really suck at it. Yesterday I tried to find a song with chords in it that I could play, and I managed! I turns out I can totally play all the chords in Both Hands, and I know the song pretty well. So I thought maybe I would try to play along. Disaster! Turns out I am not very good at just going strumstrumstrumstrumregularrhythmstrumstrumregularrhythm. Guess I will have to practice for more than a day, huh?

I'm pretty excited about it!

PS. ARGH! I AM GIVING A LECTURE TODAY OHHHNOOOOO! (luckily I do not need to play ukele during the lecture, though. Or accordion. But still!)

Heh, I/you should talk to my father.

He bought a ukelele to take when he travelled interstate, so he could practice guitar type technique without having to take a guitar.

He isn't too bad at it either, and Maeve and the other grand kids love it.

Although, apparently he invariably gets asked to play by the cabin staff when he takes it on as hand luggage.

I hope to eventually get to that stage!

:) I am not sure that it is a reflection of his skill so much as the fact it is interesting luggage.

He spent quite a while looking up video tutorials on Youtube, I believe he said there were some really good ones. I would ask him but he is in Melbourne this week. I can ask him when he is back if you like.

Thank you! I am getting help from chordie.com and Liz, but I'm sure every bit helps.
