tuckered out

Last night was Craft night, and clever women made origamis and knitted and chatted. And I worked out how Liz's new sewing machine goes (spending a lot of time terrified that I would break it).

I made a cover for my laptop out of stuff I had around the house. It is stripy, and also red, and somewhat waterproof.

And today I spent sailing with my dad and talking to strangers about boats and things.

All in all, quite an excellent weekend.

I would like to do some useful crafty things. I've been in an arty-crafty mood, but all I did was start a mother's day card that doesn't say "happy mother's day" and is too heavy to post, and use black and blue paint and glue and shells'n'stuff to make a mess over a cheap canvas.

I would like to see you sometime this week, not only for the pleasure of your company but also to get the BIAD form signed. Are you likely to be in the UWA area around five-thirty/six-ish any day this week? Or in the city around lunch time? Or anywhere else on Tuesday or Thursday?

It looked interesting, but I'm spending too much time in front of the computer doing thesis stuff to really want another computer-thing. I registered, though, and I might look into it more.
