Work: all my delicious motivation that I bought back with me from Thailand is gone. Now I am sleepy and unfocused and staring at the title of the section (on networking), thinking about nothing in particular.

Reading: James Joyce, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. Ellen Kushner, Thomas the Rhymer (a present from livejournal). Richard Burton, Tales of a Thousand and One Nights (on the last story, since I've been reading other things in between). And Globalization from Below, by della Porta et al, for uni.

House hunting: looked at an expensive place on Lake st, which felt kind of soulless. looked at a place with "character" in north perth, which we will apply for this afternoon. i am kind of hoping we get it (because it would mean the end of house hunting, and it would be an interesting house to live in), and i am also kind of hoping that we don't get it (because it is not all that sturdy, and smells a little funny, and we are probably not so sensible for wanting it).

Extras:
* Yesterday I went over to my friend's house and helped her tidy her room. It took us about four hours to get to the stage where there were only a few piles of things she had to go through and sort out for herself. I found about eight loads of dirty washing. Some of it she had just put in a trunk, and then hidden the trunk under more piles of Stuff. Oddly, I just find it endearing (somewhat Bernard Black-ish), and I rather enjoy the tutting.
* Yesterday I saw a lamb! at university! in a raincoat! It was so cute I nearly popped. Also, it wasn't even a university lamb. It was just a lamb a girl was looking after for her mother, and she'd had a meeting with her supervisor so she took the lamb with her. It was pretty gosh darn exciting.
* Last night Kale fell over and I laughed so hard and so long I think I hurt my stomach muscles. It seems silly that I don't laugh that much very often. Maybe more of you should fall over near me? Hmm?
