pulling myself up by my bootstraps

I am working on healthier patterns, and not having wasted time. And not stressing myself out too much about work.

Plus thinking of better ways to deal with my irritation at people, I think. (I got really mad at my brother yesterday, and ended up yelling at him and dealing with things badly.)

Yesterday's excitements:
* I got my Mooncup in the mail! So swift!
* More books for uni from Amazon.
* PHOTOS! Our photos totally worked out, and even look nifty. I am impressed by us! Hopefully liz and i will coordinate making them available on the internets soon. (With a papercraft scanner, perhaps?)

My work is still plodding, but I'm feeling better about things. I should be able to start writing my paper in the next couple of days (the part of the process that usually takes the least time), and I've been offered 4 or 5 tutorials (depending on numbers enrolled) for the 2/3rd year 'Democratisation in Asia' course, which would make me feel more academically nifty.

And I've decided not to get too dishearted by not being able to motivate myself for work 12 hours a day. Last night I went to capoeira (with encouragement and stern looks from kale and liz), and had an excellent time. Another huge blister on my toe, a midair collision that send my sprawling across the room, massive unfitness, but still good. And in between working last night I made a nice risotto, did some greek, and finished off letters for penpals.

So I'm feeling a bit better about the world, now.

The main thing, I guess, is to keep going.

Exercise really does make you feel better. It can be very hard to get motivated when you're feeling down, but it really helps.

Also, I can only assume that 'doing some Greek' is code for something really dirty.

*snigger*

Enough sniggering! I wrote out labels for stuff in Greek, and then stuck them on things!

Hahahaha, still dirty!
