Trying to be busy

Today I got to travel around a lot in autos, which is something that I enjoy. I went to a couple of places to sort out my tickets back - so far it seems like I'll be leaving Bangalore on the 1st (and almost certainly not going to Karachi), although I have to confirm that tomorrow.

I also went to Greenpeace to use their small, but very helpful library. Their librarian was also small and very helpful, so all in all it was quite a pleasant experience. I got a few pages of good information, including a bit on the Green Foundation that is making it clear that I have to stop feeling hurt that they hung up on me and go around there to talk to them.

Tomorrow I have another interview, and then lots of little bits and pieces to do before I go to Mysore, so I think I will feel a better about the world.

I think the thing that bothers me most about being here is that I'm constantly worried that I'm not using my time well. Yet there are times when I either have nothing much I can do (evenings, for example), or I'm feeling too exhausted to do anything much. And then the feeling-exhausted gets worse because I feel so bad at wasting so much time. I have decided that I really need to stop feeling so bad about time wasted, and realise that a lot of it is just because I'm in an unfamiliar context where I can't do capoeira or my usual productive-time-fillers. Which is fine to say, but after watching three sitcoms in a row it's hard to believe.

I also feel that it's important for you to know that I saw two men and a live sheep on a motorbike, and in a farmer's magazine I read the phrase "turning a Nelson's Eye to the problem", which I have never read before.

That is all!
